The Pelvic Self

Pelvic health coaching in Canada

What a Pelvic Health Coach Actually Does

A pelvic health coach does not treat your body. I help you prepare for the people who do. That means organizing your health history, building a focused agenda for short appointments, and practising the words that get your concerns heard.

Who does what

Coach or Clinician? Here Is the Difference

Most people arrive unsure which kind of help they need. This should make it obvious.

Pelvic floor physiotherapist

Assesses and treats pelvic floor muscles, prescribes exercises, and delivers hands-on clinical care.

Gynaecologist or specialist

Investigates, diagnoses, orders imaging, and decides on medical or surgical treatment.

Advocacy coach (that is me)

Organizes your history, builds your visit strategy, and helps you communicate clearly with the clinicians above.

Coaching sits alongside clinical care, never in place of it. Many clients work with a physio or specialist and use coaching to make those visits count.

What working together looks like

Four Steps, One Clear Plan

Every session follows the same practical arc. You can read the detail, including the documents we build, on the process page.

Explore How It Works
01

Organize your story

Records, symptoms, and referrals mapped into one clear timeline.

02

Build your visit strategy

A 1-page agenda with your top concerns, goals, and questions.

03

Practice the conversation

Wording for raising concerns, asking for clarity, and requesting follow-up.

04

Debrief and plan next steps

Review what was said, update the plan, and prepare for what comes next.

This is a good fit if

  • You have appointments coming up and want to walk in prepared.
  • You have told your story many times and it still feels scattered.
  • You are waiting on referrals or imaging and want a follow-up strategy.
  • You want practical help, not another symptom-tracking app to babysit.

This is not the right fit if

  • You are looking for a diagnosis, treatment, or a second medical opinion.
  • You need urgent or emergency care - please contact your provider or local emergency services.
  • You want prescriptions, referrals, or test orders written for you.

Common questions

Before you book.

See Services & Pricing for fees, and Using Your Benefits for the claiming guide.

Is a pelvic health coach the same as a clinician?+

No. Coaching is non-clinical. I do not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice. I help you prepare, organize, and communicate so your clinical appointments go further.

Do I need a referral to work with you?+

No referral is needed. You can start with a free 15-minute clarity call and decide from there.

Can I claim coaching through my benefits?+

Many Canadian plans include a personal spending account or health care spending account that may cover coaching. Coverage always depends on your specific plan, so check the wording first.

Where are you based, and can we work together across Canada?+

Sessions are held live by video, so we can work together from anywhere in Canada.

Not Sure If Coaching Is What You Need?

That is exactly what the free call is for. Fifteen minutes, no pressure, and a clear sense of your next step.
